Thank you for your interest in The Chapel at WOODLAND HILLS. We believe marriage is a gift from the Lord, given to us in order to put His greatness on display for the world (James 1:17, Matthew 5:14-16). Our desire is to help in any way we can to get you ready for your wedding day. More importantly, while we desire couples to have a wonderful wedding day, our greatest passion is for your marriage to bring God the glory He deserves. Whether we are providing you a location to get married and/or a pastor to officiate your ceremony, as the body of Christ, we are primarily concerned with God being honored in the process. Since marriage is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, we see it as our responsibility to help best prepare you for marriage. GENERAL CHAPEL INFORMATION
Facilities are available for weddings or memorial services exclusively to members of WHFC who are actively serving in an area of ministry, children of active members, or to non-members who are actively pursuing membership at WHFC. In addition, prior to getting married in The Chapel, all couples must complete the six week Ready to Wed class at WHFC. Click HERE for more information. The Chapel is available for wedding ceremonies only. Receptions are to be held off-campus. One time slot is available for weddings each Saturday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, to be finished on property no later than 5:00 pm. Rehearsals for weddings are held Friday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm lasting for 1 hour. Please note, weddings are not held on Sundays or during certain holiday weekends and are subject to availability.
THE COST OF A WEDDING
The cost of a wedding in The Chapel is $500, which includes a wedding coordinator, set-up, utility costs, a trained light and sound technician and clean-up. A member of the WHFC Pastoral Care staff will be available to perform the ceremony if desired. This is not an additional cost when having a wedding in The Chapel. We require a minimum of 4 months from the date of request and payment of $250 in order to reserve your date on the calendar.
THE WEDDING COORDINATOR
The Chapel WEDDING COORDINATOR is assigned to facilitate the timeline of the rehearsal and wedding, arrange the ordained officiant/member of the WHFC Pastoral Care Staff (if needed), coordinate with the lighting/sound technician and assist with carrying out any other details to insure the success of your very important moment. The coordinator will meet with the couple twice before the wedding. The first appointment will be within the first 2 weeks of the initial commitment to use the space. At this time you will have the opportunity to share your desires for the ceremony, walk through The Chapel and view the Bridal Suite. The second appointment will be 1 week before the wedding to go over the ceremony step by step.
If a WHFC Pastoral Care Staff member will be officiating, the couple will meet him within 2 weeks of the wedding to go over ceremony details. He will be at both the rehearsal and wedding.
