Most people want to make a difference this holiday season, but don’t know how. Through our annual generosity campaign The Big Give, Woodland Hills Family Church will partner with our neighboring communities, incredible nonprofits, and our global missions partners. As a church, we have the opportunity to make an incredible difference through local and global efforts, in taking the love of Jesus to the ends of the earth. —and we’ll make it as simple as we know how.

Give Big Here

The Big Give campaign will run from November 13th - November 27th. You can give online or by leaving your check/cash gift in our giving boxes located in The Castle Foyer or The Chapel. We are grateful for your continued generosity and commitment to ministry, WHFC! Get to know our partners below.

Family Ministries Service Project

Every year we encourage our WHFCKids families to participate in "The Big Give," a time of holiday generosity.

We are thrilled this year to partner with the Missouri foster care system to bring comfort to kids who are entering new foster care placements.  As a church family, we will be assembling "comfort kits" to be distributed to area caseworkers.  The idea is to create a bag full of goodies:   hygiene items, comfort pieces and a few special toys or possessions that can offer a bright spot in the midst of a scary time in the life of a child.  These will be stored and distributed throughout the year.

Your family can choose the age range and gender you'd like to buy for.  We encourage you to pray over this child  as your family seeks to meet a need in the life a child in our community.

Also, if you would like to include a check for $10 with your comfort kit, we will apply that money to the purchase of a fun reusable bag that the child can keep to carry his or her things.  Your money will also go toward the purchase of a Bible to be included in the kit as well.

We will be collecting donations every Sunday in November.  You will see collection boxes in Critter Street, Wild Woods, Crew and Student Ministries.

Local Schools

We know that the work of our local school districts not only supports the educational well being of students, but also cares for their whole personhood. This year, our Big Gift will go to meeting the physical needs of students in Christian and Taney Counties. Our hope is that through these funds, teachers would be empowered to joyfully meet the physical needs of students in their classroom as needed.

Coffee With A Cause

The White River Coffee Co. is a hidden gem located in the center of the once thriving resort town of Rockaway Beach, MO.  It is a shining model of marketplace ministry and is owned and operated by Dean and Sonja O’Bryan, missionaries with Rural Compassion, who answered the call to come alongside a local pastor and church in their efforts to revitalize a struggling rural community.

In partnership with Rural Compassion, Convoy of Hope, local churches, private donors, and business organizations across the United States, the White River Coffee Co. is now a hub for U.S. Missions teams to come and serve for the purpose of economic revitalization in Rockaway Beach.

Women's Crisis Center

Through our Big Give partnership with the local Women’s Crisis Center, your family can help provide Christmas gifts, Christmas dinner, and contribute food to their pantry to serve the families within their program. The Women’s Crisis Center is also in need of volunteers during this time to help with Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, and other seasonal needs. If your family is interested in also giving the gift of time this Christmas, we encourage you to sign up to volunteer with them directly.
