Care For Kids

Care for Kids is our partnership with the Silver Dollar City Foundation. It was launched in 2006 to meet the physical and emotional needs of our kids in Stone and Taney County. The physical needs are things like coats, school supplies, and eye glasses. The emotional needs are met through unique mentoring programs and parental support.

The Big Give
The Big Give

Most people want to make a difference during the  holiday season but don’t know how. Through our annual generosity campaign, The Big Give, Woodland Hills Family Church will partner with our neighboring communities, incredible nonprofits, and our global missions partners. As a church, we have the opportunity to make a difference through local and global efforts in taking the love of Jesus to the ends of the earth. —and we’ll make it as simple as we know how.

Project HOPE

Project HOPE is an inter-denominational Christian service organization formed to meet the immediate physical needs of impoverished people while sharing with them the Good News of Jesus Christ. Project HOPE’s ministry helps supply homes, food, clothing, mental and/or spiritual relief to the people of Nicaragua. Click here for more information on Project HOPE.

Haiti
Haiti

After the January 12, 2010 earthquake, Haiti’s rough situation became worse. Being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and only about 800 miles from the U.S., we feel called to help our close neighbors. After assessing what to do, we adopted a school in Carrefour Dufort and have since provided funds to be part of rebuilding a school in this small community just south of Port Au Prince. Providing meals each day for the students and paying teachers salaries are part of this continued effort.

Tanzania (Bob & Dee Dodson)

Bob and Dee Dodson have been career missionaries in Tanzania from 1990 until Bob’s sudden passing in 2022. We continue to support Dee and their love of church planting and teaching in the Kilimanjaro region.  It is exciting to be part of something that has accrued so much because of this exponential relationship building.

David and Kathy Mannon work on the campus of Rutgers University with international students. Recently, they organized a team to pick up 94 Chinese students coming to the University and move them into their residences. They hosted a welcome to Rutgers BBQ and 200 Chinese students attended. These students are curious about the Gospel. Click here for more information on International Students Inc.

Austin and Kaelee have been missionaries in Haiti since November 2017. Austin was born and raised in the same area that they now serve. Since the spring of 2018, Austin has been the administrator of Faith Medical Clinic that his parents have operated since 1986. His passion is to develop a biblical finance course geared toward the Haitian people, their culture, and marketplace. Being a mother of five, naturally, Kaelee’s interests are in maternity care and nutrition. With the Lord’s help and the help of faithful supporters, they hope to continue the work started by Austin’s parents and provide for other physical and spiritual needs in their area.

Island Encounters (Ray & Laura Pittman)
Island Encounters (Ray & Laura Pittman)

Island Encounters exists to demonstrate the love of Christ by meeting practical and spiritual needs across cultures in the context of relationship. We are equipping students and the poor for greater “life encounters” (with God, others, and themselves). We have an ongoing children’s ministry that includes evangelism, discipleship, and literacy training.

Based in Fiji, we reach out to both the indigenous people and the Indian people (originally from India) with the hope of Christ. We run Oasis Farm, where sustainable agriculture is demonstrated and training is offered as a community development outreach to our rural, under resourced area.

We also bring in students and missions teams to stay at Oasis Farm and help out in the community with the kids and at the farm. We offer both short and long term student programs and internships, as well as a “missions encounter” trip for church and school groups. We love seeing what happens when students from overseas come and interact with the people of Fiji, and the way God works in and through that overlap.
