Our purpose & passion is to see 6th, 7th and 8th grade students become rooted in Christ and grow to be influential for His Kingdom. We aim to shatter the stereotype that Sunday morning church services are boring. At Roots, the setting, volunteer leaders, music, skits and games are fun. Most importantly, the messages are meant to affirm junior high students that they are a valuable part of the family of God. We want Jr. High students to engage and understand how the Bible actually applies to their lives all so they may become fully devoted followers of Christ.
The heartbeat of Woodland Hills is the Family. Roots is a family ministry that focuses on jr. high students. We believe that parents are the primary disciples of students and we are “back up singers” affirming the truth the parents are instilling into their kids.
Roots meets on Sunday mornings at 8:30am and 11:30am at the Porch. Small Groups will meet Wednesday nights at 6:30-8p in The Crew Building.
