SENIOR / FOUNDING PASTER
Ted Cunningham is the founding pastor of Woodland Hills Family Church. He enjoys being married to his wife of 18 years, Amy. They live in Branson, MO with their two children, Corynn and Carson. He is the author of The Power of Home, Fun Loving You, Trophy Child, and Young and In Love and coauthor of four books with Dr. Gary Smalley including The Language of Sex and From Anger to Intimacy. He is a regular guest on Focus on the Family, Life Today, and Moody Radio. He is a graduate of Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary.
Matt Gumm serves as Worship Leader. He is incredibly passionate about the body of Christ coming together to worship. “God demands excellence. It’s not about money, staff, or talent…its about making a choice to do your best and use the talents you were given for Him.” Matt tries to live by this philosophy and praises God for filling the gaps in his life. Matt enjoys combining music and laughter to serve the Lord each week. He is married to his best friend, Katie.
Denise Bevins is the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor and Director of Welcome Ministries. She loves to get people involved and moving. Her goal is to encourage our leaders and keep everyone organized. Don is her husband. They have 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids.
Stephanie Watson serves as Family Ministries Director. She heads up our birth through senior high ministries. She desires for all our family ministries to be creative, purposeful, and full of energy. She is married to Andy and is the mom of Sam, Roy, Lucy, and Emma.
Mesa Mitchell directs our Critter Street & Wildwoods ministries, as well as our Social Team. As a former public school teacher and Branson performer, she brings a unique creative energy to the ministries at Woodland Hills. She has a passion for teaching and wants nothing more than for your child to feel the love of Christ and experience fun moments every Sunday. Mesa is married to Corey, and they have three young children, Lundyn, Charlee and Myles. “When kids are having fun, they are making memories! Let’s make sure those memories are filled with solid truth about Him!”
Mickey Pitman is the Student Ministries Director here at Woodland Hills Family Church. He is a huge fan of His wife Mackenzi and he should be because she is way out of his league. They have a baby joining the family in March and they are so thrilled to be parents. He hasn’t written any books but he has read a few. He graduated from Central Methodist University in 2009 and from the Kanakuk Institute in 2011. He worked 9 summers for Kanakuk Kamps and 4 years with K-life student ministries. He is now excited to see what God has planned for the students at Woodland Hills.
Katie Gumm erves as the Experience Director. Her desire is to create excellent experiences that inspire families to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. She believes all elements of a service or event are equally important and can work together to create moments that have eternal impact. She loves serving her church, serving Christian authors as publicist, and mostly serving her husband Matt and his many dreams and talents!
Amy Cunningham directs our Ministry Environments. She is a visionary who loves to see entire families embrace the church. Her desire is for Woodland Hills to be a place where families are continually inspired to be intentional. She is married to Ted, and mom to Carson and Corynn.
Corey Mitchell is our Creative Director. He loves telling stories visually through video, motion graphics, and design, creating meaningful and emotional experiences that help present the Gospel clearly. He is married to Mesa and they have three kids, Lundyn, Charlee and Myles. “Woodland Hills is so sincere in its passion for Jesus. It’s awesome to be part of a church where you can see His hand on everything.”
Andy Watson is our Facilities Director. He is inspired by Jesus’ example as a servant leader and has made that his life goal. He is married to Stephanie and is the father of Sam, Roy, Lucy and Emma who keep his life busy and his heart full.
David Everson was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala but grew up in Michigan. He has a desire to know people in all walks of life and believes that as God’s creation, every human has huge value! When not at Woodland Hills Family Church, you can find him hanging out with friends or family. The outdoors inspires David to just relax, so he tries to get outside in the Ozarks and play when he has free time.
